SBB Atlantic Tour (plus Montreal)

by Graham
August 15th, 2009

Our first tour down east. Caution, this gallery contains photos of shellfish, scallops and percussionists. If you’re allergic to photos of any of the above, you will want to put on a surgical mask before entering the gallery!

Four of five SBBers in front of the Bluenose in Lunenburg! A happy Paul Mills rehearses under a tree just outside Charlottetown

Look! That face looks familiar somehow! (Lunenburg Harbour Folk Festival) Our D'Arcy with the Dardanelles' Tom Power, playin' up a storm. One of the best sessions this photographer's ever played! I foooooooooound the bluuuuuuuuuuuuenose! Percussion band takeover strategy #44: the less-subtle attempt. Unsuccessful. Thank goodness! Lobby the Lobster with his friend Keith. Something terrible happened to her, but for some reason we don't have photos. Something about greasy fingers not touching my camera under any circumstances. Greg thinks bacon wrapped scallops are just nifty! D'Arcy McGuire on stage with Stephen Fearing - great gig! Da boyz. Sitting like seagulls. We'z spotting seafood everywhere too. That's right, I extracted those croc teeth myself. Careful, they'll bite!A strong bloke with some lightweight backup. So we get all? ...or just one? I can pick one, I really can! Welcoming Tom Ustick to the band - Stompin' Tom, to some. He has this rash on his neck, and he claims it's music-related... and given how he plays, that sounds entirely possible. SBB on stage in Lunenburg! Some drummer guy (yeah Graham) playing at our lovely host's house in Québec City. Further proof our band is made up of seagulls. ShucktackularTom and D'Arcy dance. Methinks D'Arcy is criticizing Tom's playing? Wharf-playin' in Lunenburg!SBB plays Café Campus in Montreal. Great tour, great music, great beer, great audiences! (thank you!)
