March 15th, 2013

D'Arcy on the accordian D'Arcy plays the udu - we kept wondering why a vase would have a hole in the side

Prix Helen Verger - Festival folk d’Ottawa 2009

by Graham
August 28th, 2009

Helen Verger Award – 2009 Ottawa Folk Festival

by Graham
August 28th, 2009

SBB’s very own Paul Mills was awarded the Helen Verger Award for lifetime achievement. Congratulations from us, and we’re so honoured and pleased to have been a part of the evening! We played 45 Years (a great song by Stan Rogers) and The Gypsy Set. Photos from onstage were taken on my phone, hence the haze on anything really bright, while other photos were taken by Bryn Burnell or me from the audience.

Les Grands-mères Goulbourn

by Graham
May 4th, 2009

Sarah, Paul, Greg, D'Arcy and Graham. In descending order of um... gender? No... but we'll try to figure it out. Likely something to do with IQ. The person writing the captions does not at this moment know. Give it some time.  Sarah sings sonorously. ...seriously.

May 4th, 2009

The Goulbourn Grans work to help African grandmothers raising their grandchildren, whose parents died of AIDS. We helped the grans raise money for an excellent cause, and it was one of our best concerts to date!
